C15i is a subwoofer designed for custom installation in rooms over 80 sqm. in in- and semi outdoor applications. The reflex loaded cabinet features a 15” woofer with an advanced motor. The 75 mm Ø aluminum voice coil employs the interleaved sandwich voice coil with windings on both the outer and inner surfaces to achieve a mass- balanced coil. The results in a linear motor with excellent control and very low distortion even at maximum output. The magnetic structure has been optimized using FEA CAD resource that maximized the flux density in the voice coil gap for optimized clarity. Excellent heat dissipation has also been achieved by incorporating air channels between the basket and the magnetic top plate reducing power compression significantly and thereby improving dynamics. C15i is designed to be driven by the Cornered DSP amplifiers.
